ENERGY HEALING
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced raykey) is a form of "energy healing,". Reiki is a Japanese safe, gentle, non-invasive hands-on healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation and also promotes healing.
Everything that happens to us on an emotional level has an energetic impact in our aura field, therefore when the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
Reiki's gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used safely by people of all ages, including pregnant mothers, new-borns, surgical patients, oncology patients, the frail and the elderly, in any situation.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress, Balance energy and Chakras, removes blocks, can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing for those Cancer patients as it enables relaxation on all levels - physical, mental, and emotional.
If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The Reiki Practitioner purely acts as a channel in this treatment and has no influence on the effect that the energy will have on you. Our bodies are very clever and intuitive machines and will always use Reiki energy to benefit your highest and greatest good.
This treatment is performed laid on a massage table. You will remain fully clothed throughout the session and further covered with a blanket in order to retain a sense of warmth and security throughout the treatment. The practitioner's hands are placed in various (non-invasive) positions on the body and above in the aura level. Chakra balancing is done at the end of the treatment.

Chakras
"Chakras are "Entry Gates of the Aura".
Chakra is a Sanskrit term and it means "wheel" or "disk". There are 7 main energy centres of activity that receives, assimilates and expresses life force energy. They are responsible for the person's physical, mental, and spiritual functions.
The chakras as the energy centers are the key to restoration & balance. If negative energy accumulates or stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy centers blocks and cause physical illness.
How Chakras affect us?
The chakras are constantly rotating and vibrating. The activities in them influence our: Body shape, Glandular processes, Chronic physical ailments, Thoughts, and Behaviour.
When one (or more) of the chakras is blocked and the energy does not flow harmoniously through them, or it is wide open, it will result in imbalance that is manifested in all areas of life.
Each chakra is expressed on the physical body in one of the endocrine glands that regulate physical and emotional processes in the body.
The imbalance in the chakra will also be expressed in the endocrine gland linked to it. When it's blocked: A variety of ailments can occur from blockages, including anxiety disorders, fears, or nightmares, adherents say. Physically, the first chakra is associated with problems in the colon, with the bladder, with elimination, or with lower back, leg, or feet issues.
How can we heal the Chakras?
We can influence our chakras, our health, and our lives by using different techniques such as: Reiki, Colour Therapy, Yoga, Conscious breathing, Physical exercises, Meditation, Guided visualisation, Positive thinking, Affirmations, Balancing, Using your Hands, Gemstones and Aromatherapy.
If we concentrate on balancing the chakras it will lead not only in balancing the chakras itself, but the physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances caused by their deficient functioning.
What blocks a chakra?
Childhood traumas, cultural conditioning, limited belief system, bad habits, physical and emotional injuries. Or even just lack of attention all contribute to chakra blockage.
When a chakra is not functioning properly or if it is blocked, illness is more prone to occur. Our well being on all levels can affect and is affected by the chakras.
If we are feeling depressed, then we may not be taking in the maximum amount of energy for our needs. If we do not nourish our bodies with the proper food and nutrients, then we may take in less energy than more.
If we "block" feelings such as anger, etc., or do not speak our truth, we may be unconsciously impeding our healthy energy flow
Reiki Practitioners understand that everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy in themselves and help others.
It is believed that a person's "ki" or energy should be strong and free flowing. When this is true a person's body and mind is in a positive state of health.
When the energy becomes weak or blocked it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels - physical, mental, and emotional.
The main thing to remember is that body, soul, mind, and spirit together with the seven chakras, are one invisible whole.

History of Reiki
The history of Usui Reiki begins with its founder, Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr. Mikao Usui was born to a wealthy Buddhist family in 1865. Dr. Usui's family was able to give their son a well-rounded education for the time. As a child, Dr. Usui studied in a Buddhist monastery where he was taught martial arts, swordsmanship, and the Japanese form of Chi Kung, known as Kiko.
Throughout his education, Dr. Usui had an interest in medicine, psychology and theology. It was this interest that prompted him to seek a way to heal himself and others using the laying on of hands.
It was his desire to find a method of healing that was unattached to any specific religion and religious belief, so that his system would be accessible to everyone.
Spiritual Awakening of Reiki
During his years of training in the monastery, Dr. Usui attended his own training course in a cave on Mount Kurama. For 21 days, Dr. Usui fasted, meditated and prayed.
On the morning of the twenty-first day, Dr. Usui experienced an event that would change his life forever. He saw ancient Sanskrit symbols that helped him develop the system of healing he had been struggling to invent. Usui Reiki was born.
After his spiritual awakening on Mount Kurama, Dr. Usui established a clinic for healing and teaching in Kyoto. As the practice of Usui Reiki was spreading, Dr. Usui became known for his healing practice.
